"Three Places in Old Sachsenhausen" is a continuous 30-minute excerpt, recorded 1993, divided into three parts.

The "Affentorplatz" (Monkey's Gate Square) is one of the wormhole portals into Frankfurt‘s tourist quarter, Sachsenhausen, located on the southern side of the river Main. Just Around the corner, the wayfaring stranger is maelstromed into the shady, sometimes foreboding "Abtsgaesschen" (= Abbot's Alley), with its main attraction, the "Gaststaette Atschel" (Atschel = magpie), well known for its traditional Hessian cuisine and famous sour apple cider. Who knows whose spirits reside there, deep in the stones and mortar of the cold, narrow walls?

ACT (Auto Composer Tools) is a series of computer programs generating spontaneous compositions within a framework of predefined performance parameters. Software written in GFA-Basic, ASM and probably C. Recorded excerpts were sometimes named after places in Frankfurt.
